Discussion on the most inspiring or heartfelt/emotional moments in the world of anime. Mainly, our focus is on anime of the Slice of Life or Romance genre (past and current). Anyone is welcome.

We focus on select slice of life/romance/comedy anime of the current season and discuss them. Most of these titles have very little supernatural elements as we want content that is easy to relate to/draw upon our own experiences. This was the large motivating factor for me to start my own site and forum. I wanted to share these inspiring anime moments with others, so we could borrow from these experiences and lend this wisdom and knowledge toward our real lives.

Hey everyone! Don't be shy about getting to know everyone, that's how new friends are made and how friendships are forged right? You can post a little bit about yourself (doesn't have to be much at all) maybe how you found the site, and your interests in anime and manga.

I'll start things off here, I am the founder of the Anime Inspirations site. You can call me Vis or Viserys. Now how did I come up with that name. Hmm. I believe it is a character in George R.R. Martin's a Song Of Fire and Ice series. He is an excellent writer, and kept my attention from beginning to end with each book he released. I never did read a Dance with Dragons nor have I had a chance to watch the TV specials sadly.

In terms of founding the site, well I just took an idea I had a ran with it I guess. I have quite an interest in anime and manga, unlike many of my peers growing up. It is quite the niche following I must say, but hey, we like what we like. I am not at all ashamed of having an interest in something so obscure (at least to the mainstream crowd). I take pride in personalities traits and hobbies that let you stand out from the crowd. Each person is unique, and its pays off in the end to go with your gut instinct rather than following the bandwagon every time.

I am 24 years old and live in rural North Carolina, near the capital Raleigh. Its just the drive to work everyday. Doesn't help that my car broke down recently I must add. I hope to be moving there soon when I get the opportunity. Wish my job would treat me better. Just hoping that I can have some good fortune soon.

Let's see, my favorite Anime has to be...very hard to narrow down to one. There are very many that have been memorable to me and that stick with me in my heart. I would have to say Suzuka is pretty far up there, if not my favorite anime. Funny thing is though, I watched it dubbed (Funimation) and enjoyed it quite a bit. For a short time I thought the original language track in Japanese was terrible for any anime. Though nowadays it seems I only watch subs, and I find the original language to be quite fitting in most circumstances.

Well, I'll add more in the future folks, but for now I will take a break. Looking forward to hearing from everyone! You can create a new topic or post in this one, whatever works!
