About our Forum:

Discussion on the most inspiring or heartfelt/emotional moments in the world of anime. Mainly, our focus is on anime of the Slice of Life or Romance genre (past and current). Anyone is welcome.

We focus on select slice of life/romance/comedy anime of the current season and discuss them. Most of these titles have very little supernatural elements as we want content that is easy to relate to/draw upon our own experiences. This was the large motivating factor for me to start my own site and forum. I wanted to share these inspiring anime moments with others, so we could borrow from these experiences and lend this wisdom and knowledge toward our real lives.

Kokoro Connect - Episode 8 Discussion

Post by Viserys on Sun Aug 26, 2012 11:09 pm

Another great episode. One thing about this sort of genre is that it leaves me quite speechless at its conclusion. I still stand by the fact that Kokoro Connect has one of the best transitions from the next episode preview to the ED that I have seen in any series ever. Really love how smooth the end of the episode comes to a close.

My thoughts on the episode:

Aoki and Taichi really got into a heated argument. I must say that this series is an exception where characters really go at each other verbally. Quite unlike any other animation I have ever seen. Props to the VA's on their talent as well. I think I chimed in on how much I love Inaba's VA lol. Not really liking her mood and personality in these later episodes, but it is understandable. The whole cast is going though a lot of internal strife, which is quite hard for them to deal with.

Kind of strange that we didn't see Yui the entire episode. A nice change of pace though I guess from the usual crew. Nagase was quite dedicated at the end there waiting for Taichi, I thought she would be hit harder at him not showing. Perhaps we will see more into how she feels about that in the next episode.

Overall, really loving the series. The tone and atmosphere is quite different than anything else I am watching at the moment, which is a welcomed change.
